To write about a year in dance would be impossible without talking about that dance.

To be frank, I’m not thrilled about it. So many people asked me what I thought about it when it happened, and I felt so angry. I didn’t want to accept that this was finally the moment when dance hit the front page, when people paid attention to it, when it was no longer an enigma in the public’s psyche.
