How do we relate to the body? Recover a sense of dignity and ownership of our body? Acknowledgement: Tony Birch’s question from the Red Room Emerging Writers’ Festival workshop recently made my insides cringe. A week later, this idea emerged.

I, a conjunction in time. So clear last night but didn’t get out of bed. (I) am a moving entity and the person, the body that holds my thoughts, is a mark, a dated fingerprint that I will continue to wear (new bodies) as the years wake through me.
