An Interview with Warwick Thornton

One hot September afternoon in 2005 I sat down with Kaytej writer-director-cinematographer Warwick Thornton in his backyard in Alice Springs, to talk about his multi-award-winning short film Green Bush (CAAMA Productions 2005; for related images, see colour section, pp. 131-33). I started by asking him about the origin of his story about a DJ working a night shift in a remote Aboriginal radio station.
