Vintage Book Labels
JA
September 22
Sevenroads.org have put together a wonderful collection of vintage book labels, which apparently were used by 'booksellers, binders, printers, publishers, importers, and distributors ... to advertise ... their part in bringing the book to market'. The ones from Japan, Israel, Russia, Chile, Spain and so on are particularly interesting, and there's also a page showing several pieces from the Australian industry. A goodly selection is below.
