Spike comp: and the winners are…

JA September 03

Kathy Charles for reminding us of the ‘angst-filled Greaser’ and Ponyboy in The Outsiders

BPG for mentioning fifteen-year-old Christopher Francis Boone, Mark Haddon’s unforgettable narrator from The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time

and Sam Cooney. Technically we are doing some creative fudging here, Sam was the first to enter into the comp with Sybylla Penelope Melvyn from My Brilliant Career, but on a side note we too loved Rowan from Emily Rodda’s brilliant YA series. I don’t think Rowan’s age is ever specifically mentioned, but I read him as being around thirteen from the first book.

Congrats to all the winners, you’ll be off to see the preview production of ‘One Night the Moon’ at the Malthouse!

BPG – drop me a line at jjmau@unimelb.edu.au so I can organise your double-pass.
