If you know where to look (and sometimes even when you don’t), there is a wealth of street art around the laneways, tunnels, walls and crevices of our cities. There are a few blogs and sites about which catch these fleeting works, in particular, have a look at Darlinghurst Nights, a fantastic blog which photographs the strange, quirky and beautiful urban happenings around Potts Point, Kings Cross, Woolloomooloo, Rushcutters Bay, Elizabeth Bay and Surry Hills.
‘Beastman’ by Brad Eastman, on the corner of Arnold Lane and Goulburn Street, in Surry Hills. From Darlinghurst Nights.
King’s Cross knitting by I Heart Kings Cross, a community project organised by artist collaborative Reef Knot. From Darlinghurst Nights.
Typography by Sarah Cunningham, in Denham Lane, Surry Hills. From Darlinghust Nights.
Ariadne by Miso, in Crossley St, Melbourne.
By Perth artist Creepy, in Hosier Lane, Melbourne. From the Lighthouse Keepers Cat.
