Meanjin Overland party lowdown
Sophie Cunningham
November 30
It rained quite a lot yesterday. A real real lot. But we persevered with all things party! I think the fact that anyone turned up is testimony to how good looking the editors of both journals are.

Also to the classy establishment that the Brunswick bowling club is. (If you can't read the sign what it says is 'Keep off the grass. No liability for any injuries arising from poison.'

Our persistance was rewarded with about 60 guests, afternoon sun, and quite alot of fun. It is true that we lost the bowling match 3-0. This means we have to return the emu egg cup. But I would suggest Overland not hold its breath.
