Housekeeping

Hello Spikers,
Just a quick housekeeping note to say that Spike will be taking a short mini-break over the next fortnight or so. We’ll still be posting intermittently, so keep checking in, with full service to resume in two weeks hence.
This is also me (JA) signing off as official Meanjin cactus caretaker and passing the reins to the wonderful Sally Heath. Thanks to all who’ve read, commented and let me cross-post their words of wisdom over the past two years – it’s been truly grand. I’ll be moving on to further study for the rest of the year, and hopefully making a few awkward speeches at the launch of Cargo (out with Picador) in August. All the best to you and yours and hopefully we’ll bump shoulders on the interwebs soon.

PS: Apparently, Fat Cactus is also some sort of Tex-Mex greasy food franchise over in Cape Town. Who’d’ve thought?

Thanks for all the wonderful posts here, and best of luck post-Meanjin. Can’t wait for Cargo (ever since reading ‘The Drowner’ I’ve been on the look out for more of your work), and may the experience of sending it out into the world be peachy. Cheers
