Film Posters for Murakami's 'Norwegian Wood'
JA
February 23
As fans of Murakami may have heard, his brilliant novel, Norwegian Wood has been adapted for the big screen. Below is the trailer, with inadequate English subtitles. Between this, and Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go, my cinematic expectations are riding high (even though deep down I expect neither will match their literary counterparts).
In related news, Don’t Panic is running an open competition to create an (unofficial) poster for the film. The top ten are to be displayed at London’s Curzon movie theatre in March, but, in the meanwhile, some of the entries are worth perusing in themselves.
