World Matters 2009: Memory

The Diamond Valley Oxfam and Eltham Bookshop are hosting a wonderful celebration of new questions and fresh alternatives from October 17–19, and November 19.

As part of the festival, Meanjin essayists Sian Prior (‘Remembering Balibo’, Vol 68/3), Maggie MacKellar (‘Grief and Desire’, Vol 68/3), Carolyn Fraser (‘Notes on Provenance; or, Tom Ross’s Tooth, Vol 68/3) and Middle East scholar Ian Bickerton will take part in a moving panel on the nature of history, memory and grief. Chaired by Meanjin editor, Sophie Cunningham.

When: Sat Oct 17, 2-3pm

Where: Edendale Community Farm, Gastons Lane, Eltham (Melway 22 A1)
