Freeplay Independent Games Festival

The Freeplay Independent Games Festival is on again at the State Library of Victoria, on the 14th and 15th August 2010, with paid workshops, panel sessions and a free gaming expo. Panel & workshop highlights include:

• Sessions with international speakers Adam Saltsman and Brandon Boyer

• The first one is free: on remixing and digital culture and how to use it to your best advantage.

• Beyond the Controller: showcases the emergence of transmedia and alternate reality games

• One man band: highlights the challenges and advantages of going it along as an independent developer

• The Design of Everything: on the creative process from the point of view of an art director, Deane Taylor, an animator, Ian Gouldstone, a writer, Andrew Drage, and a product designer, Michelle Gilmore.
